The last function we had happened this month and it was a bit dissapointing coz it didn't ended well. I was part of the mistake actually because I did not participate well in the preparation and up to now I'm still keep blaming myself.

Group 4: Wedding Day
After checking out in the hotel we had a quick stop over in a laundry service and had a brief lecture about their services and equipments then we went to Tambuli Resort and this was the last in our schedule.
While going to our area a banner welcome us.
This was my lunch. The "calamares" fried squid was really hard to swallow.
The tour was fun and we learned a lot.
Some enjoyed it and..
some did not. hahaha.
HRM 8 Class at Tambuli Resort
During our stay in Crown Regecny we don't have anything to do that night aside from cam whoring so without consent from our instructor we went out to eat. My classmate brought us in Albertos and that was my first time coming there.
We bought 2 pizzas
and we did not left a thing. It was delicious.

Last Month we had a tour in my HRM 6 Class (Housekeeping). It was a 1 night and 1day tour. We stayed in Crown Regency Guadalupe.
I don't have anything to do that night because I can't enjoy and have fun with them in the swimming pool because if I'll remove my shirt probably they will run away from me. lolz. so my vanity syndrome strikes again!

before we checked out we had a quick tour on their themed-rooms and one of them is this - the bed is place in a 1980's car.
A One Night Stay at Crown Regency
After our groups function which is the Raga-Raga Festival the next group had their function 2 days before the actual Valentines Day (Feb 14) The theme was, of course, valentines and the result of the party was just like ours (group 2) but thank God we were still exempted in our HRM 7 lecture and Lab semi final exam. Going back, let me show you the preparation we had and pics from the party proper and after party. Let us start first with the Preparation.
NOTE:
I want to minimize posting pictures in my blog to 10 (maximum) each post and will just post the complete set of pics in my multimedia section because I take a lot of pictures every occasion I' am in to and it's like 100 pictures or more so if I'll put all them here your pc might collapse.

Production Team
Before we painstakingly placed the french-style-cooked chicken, side dish and java rice in each plate. I was assigned together with a one classmate to do the side dish and after that I was assigned to place them individually to 100+ plates. I must say, it was tiresome. Then after that I still have to make sure that there is no excess gravy, not arrange side dish and other dirt n the plate coz if there are some dis formation and dirt I will have to wipe it with tissue paper. Huh!

DURING THE PARTY/PARTY PROPER

In the post evaluation there were some complaining that the party did not start on time opposite to us (group 2) coz we started on time but our program started with disaster brought by me and Edkan. hahahaha. We were definitely nervous that time, well opposite to them coz I think they started the program well.

After the party a big relief was felt by me. Atlast it's all done. Then...
There were still dish left so Our teacher said we can eat them and luckily I was just nearby when she said it so I got to hold one plate. hahaha. it was yuuuuuuumy.

Group 3: Valentine Special
Unfortunately, I can't give you as many pictures as I have in the 1st group because I did not have enough time for cam whoring. I was managing the entire flow [decorations, set-up, a/v set-up] of the service area in other words I was busy, very busy. Up to now I could not believe myself that I've done all those things. It was probably one of the busiest time of my life. If I would describe it. It's something like doing 50 different works at the same time. I was running, pushing, pasting, flower-table-chair aranging, instructing, cutting, running, securing linens, table setting...EVERYTHING!!!
I asked my Sir if I could excuse myself for a while coz I'll get the group's money in our house since the preparation is almost done then he allowed me. When I got back my groupmate told me that NO ONE IS HOSTING THE SHOW!!! I really thought they have iron that out when I was not around but I was wrong so what we did we looked for 2 persons to host the show but unfortunately no one agreed except for Mayol [he was assigned to it together with my other classmate but she back out and I didn't know it]. But he needs to have a partner and he was not so confident to do it alone so even if I don't have a talent in facing a large no. of people and most specially talking to them like you've met them a hundred of times already I still said to him that "I'll go with you". IT WAS HORRIBLE. If I would rate myself that time from a scale of 10 I believe my rating would be 6.5 or 7. There were some part of the show where I was nervous [the first part] and totally eat all the words I utter but gradually the nervousness milt down as the show progress.
This was the buffet set-up. I conceptualize it, and my groupmates and the rest of the service team added their creative ideas to make our venue more fitting for our theme.

The show ended well I would say. There were dull moments thanks to the music operator who would always turned off the mic, then everytime I go up to the stage I still need to go down again and shout to his fucking face that he needs to turn it on that makes the guest became more bored [waiting] plus the band, I thought they have "sound check" the instruments before the party started but when I called them to go up stage they told me that they need to do sound checking which add up the waiting time to the guest that make them more bored.
BUT, good thing these stuff happened coz these will surely served as a lesson and experience to me so that in the future if I will need to organize a party again I would know what are the things to do - I mean the more particular things to do. From this party I've learned that even the smallest details should ALWAYS be given proirity...
Group 2: Raga-Raga Festival
After Group 1's Pretesting and the main event it was our group's turn. We decided to have a BARRIO FIESTA PARTY. If the group 1 were assigned to have a coctail party, we, on the other hand were assigned a buffet party. The courses that we pretested were ALL filipino foods. Unfortunately, I was not in the mood of camwhoring that time because something bad happened and we were all interogated by our teacher and to make it worst I was the witness but I don't want to.....
...drop the bomb myself but rather I want them to surrender themselves in their own will because if they're really guilty and want to be forgiven then they will do that. Thankfully SOME did but there were some whose heart is probably has no room for MR. Conscience. Well going back, let me show you our pretesting.
I did the tenderizing of the meat for our beef steak. It was horrible because there were already sauce added to it because we did not know that it needs to be tenderize first that's why everytime I hit the meat with the meat tenderizer the sauce sprinkle all over my uniform in short I was really dirty that time.
It was my first time to cook beef steak so I didn't know exactly what I was doing. hahaha
Gwen and Bartolini were assigned for the atchara - a filipino side dish.
Mat was assigned to cook the chicken.
Daisy was assigned to bake the puto - a filipino delecacy.
AFTER HOURS OF COOKING, these are all we had prepared.
Our menu was approved but I did not bother to eat a single bite of any food we prepared because I was still not in the mood and was depressed by what happened before we started our pretesting.
HRM 8's Group 2 Pretesting
It's been a long time since my last entry it's because I was busy with my studies and with revising my template (again. It never stop.) I want to ask forgiveness to my 6 readers in my feedburner for not updating. This entry is dedicated to you guys. Thank you for the support. Last January 8, 2009 after the long preparation (remember the pretesting activity that group 1 had?) the event had finally come. And as what I've said before the class were divided into two groups in every activity that we will have. The first group...

- Production Team - is in charge with the food and the second group - Service Team - is in charge with the venue and anything that concern outside the kitchen like the program, prices, souveiner and more.
I will going to show you our preparation from both team down to the event proper. Let us start first with the production team.
The Production Team
When I arrived one hour after the call time [hahaha. As usual I' am late!] the ingredients were already there but it was untouched so it was not only I who was late but EVERYONE. yepey! lolz.
After a few minutes we started doing our work.
We in the production area were assigned in every recipe that was part in the menu.
The housekeeper and dishwasher are the ones that have the easiest but tiring job. You know why. hahahaha
I was assigned to make the cookies together with 1 classmate.

Some of the foods were already done so my classmates with the guidance of our instructor placed toothpicks in every single food (The theme is bar so the foods were fingerfoods)

Tadadang. The finger foods. It was very tiring and the atmosphere was like in the real world and I pictured-out my self working in a fastfood chain and I must say [Obama's voice] Yes, I can!
Our function Room was used as the employee's eating place since we had the event in the lobby.
So, you have seen already the preparation in the Production Team now lets move on to the Service Team. Shall we?
The Service Team
This was the souveiner for our costumers when it was not yet rolled. This is a coster and it fits for the theme (Bar)
Tendedeng this was it. so your money will not be wasted because you'll not go home empty handed.
They rented tall tables and highball glasses just for this activity. This was before they started decorating the venue and
this was when the docorating started.

and the waiters had already freshen-up and beautify themselves after the preparation in the venue. And this what come out after they've done it.
