You might be wondering where Am' I and what I've been doing these whole month of February. For the long period of no blogging you might ask - Is Ri dead?
No. I' am not. I' am much alive BUT WITH MANY PROBLEMS ON MY SHOULDER.
Last Thursday February 26, 2009 was my Birthday and it was my saddest birthday so far.
Reason???
Financially and emotionally.
I hope everything will be fine these coming days. I HOPE SO. God Bless to Me.
Im Not Yet Dead
Weeeehhhh!!!! I was so happy and excited. In our HRM 3 class our teacher decided to have a 3 days tour in Manila - Tagaytay - Subic. Of course it was not mandatory but I still joined. Hahahahaha. Everything was my first time. From the plane to the tourist spots! Everything! that's why I was very very excited. We need to be at the airport in 4:00am because our flight was in 6:00am but the plane was late. It was so funny coz I was not mad, upset or whatsoever despite the fact that our whole plan for that day will be broken. Hahahaha probably to much excitement was in me. Of course we have no choice but to wait so...[7 MORE PHOTOS INSIDE]

To kill the time we just took pictures, pictures,pictures and pictures. By the way that is Mejala,me and Joan.
Finally, the plane arrived. My first reaction when I saw that was I was nervous because I don't know what's the feeling inside the plane,and excited because again everything in that tour was my first.
Oh Gawd!!! Where almost there. Look at them. They were as excited as I 'am. hehehe
Waaaaaaaah! Airplane!!!! lolz. Im very ignorant. hahahaha...
I was already sitting when I took this picture. The crew where already loading our luggages and it was almost ready to take off! That time I don't know what will be my reaction when the plane will start to move and fly...lolz. hahaha...
Manila - Tagaytay - Subic... Here We Come!!!
It was already nightfall when we went home. It would be really nice living here and plus if your house is just near the sea - watching the sunset would be a perfect time for relaxation.
The small island in the pic above is the Sumilon Island. It offers a Marine Sanctuary, a nature park, lagoons, boating cottages, caves and foot paths around the tree park. A virgin beachfront of fine white sand and crystal clear waters give the day tripper an unforgettable day in the sun. A "parola" and "Bantayan sa Hari" stand proud as memories of a courageous past. Our teacher told me that it will cost you around Php 2,000 (Php 1 - $42) to get there but that was the rate many years ago. lolz
What is unusual about this picture? Look closely and tell me what is it! Harhar! I think the picture is blur enough for you to have a valid excuse if you can't guess the right answer. But still try to guess it. Clue: It is in the top of that bizarre shape mountain.
Part 10 - Trip in Southern Part of Cebu!
Our 10th and last stop was a waterfalls! Yephey! It was my first time seeing a waterfalls. I pity myself. lolz. Anyway the pic above is the first thing (poster) you will notice when going in. The waterfalls in the poster and the waterfalls I saw was so different. I wonder how they change it.
As you can see in the pic, there are cottages that you can rent. When we went here, we also rent a cottage but that time it was cheaper because it was nightfall already. Ohh, if you preferred, you can also spend over night here and have a relaxing night swimming.
You are not allowed to come closer at the base of the falls because you might be drowned but if you really insist to go nearer you can rent this thing. I forgot how this thing called - sorry.
...and now, Let me present to you.tan tada da dang! The Kawasan Waterfalls, isn't it lovely? They said this is just the first waterfalls or as what they term it as - first level. They said there is still 2nd to 3rd or 4th level. I' am not quite sure if it is up to 4th level. The falls in the pic above is undoubtably deep what more in the 2nd and 3rd/4th falls. Unfortunately a korean citizen just recently died here because he was not cautious and was probably so confident that he will not be drowned (I' am not sure about what really happened so I can only assume) but despite of that when we went here there are still a lot of koreans and americans spending their time with this lovely falls!
After swimming you can stop over and buy some souvenirs for your love ones. It's handmade, unique and affordable so perfect for souvenirs! The ones on top are made of bamboo and they look like flower vase to me, what you think?
I took this during our way going home. To reach the falls, if you are a very fast walker then you just need to walk about 15 minutes but if not probably it will take you 1 hour. lolz.
Part 9 - Trip in Southern Part of Cebu!
This is Oslob Church, our 9th stop. This was recently destroyed by a fire. They said, the fire started at the priest room - careless priest!. lolz. The cause of the fire as what they say was the computer of the priest - the priest is worldly. lolz. Despite of loosing its' roof the church structure is not totally destroyed, right? It's would be nice to have a photoshoot here, agree?
This was a quartel during the spanish era - jail (am' I right?). There must be a lot of ghost here. MoOoOh!!! I wonder if there's a white lady here during night. hmmm. I hope there's none coz it's creepy if it has.
Part 8 - Trip in Southern Part of Cebu!
Our 7th stop was a water spring - Obong Water Spring. It's an ideal place for recreation but the disadvantages about this place are there are a lot of people and it's quite dirty, it is a nice place though. We did not stay here for a long time. Actually there is supposed to be entrance fee for each of us plus for the van but we said that we will just have a quick look of the place so they allowed us just to pay for the van's entrance fee but in the condition that we will not stay long.
The road.I Love the effect. Road beside the sea. so unique for me. And look at the rock - it's so not Philippines. lol
And now our 8th stop - the church of Boljoong. This is really100x old. It's like 400+ million years old. It was built in the era of the dinosaurs - really old right? lolz. Seriously this was built in the year of 1599 so it's approximately 400+ years now but look at it still standing despite of earthquakes and cornflakes. lolz
I dont know what's this called - Altar? Well anyway if you have noticed the statue in the top looks like me. Yes, that's my statue. Lolz!
Creepy. Look at the altar, it is not even visible because the church is very long. lolz. It is so amazing on how they were able to paint the ceiling that beautiful.
Part 7 - Trip in Southern Part of Cebu!
This is the church of Argao, our 6th stop. As usual the church is old, even the sayings/scriptures painted in the walls is still in latin. It's huge and creepy if I will be left here alone!
It has a bamboo organ but I think it's not use anymore. Look at how old it is, so bad they did not preserve this one.
As what they said, this is the Municipal Hall? I forgot, sorry. lolz. What I know is this was built during the spanish era.
Statues and a path to the sea. Argao's church is just nerby the seashore. And oh, when we arrived here we saw some koreans touring like us. Koreans now a days are everywhere here in Cebu - TOTALLY WEIRD!
Part 6 - Trip in Southern Part of Cebu!
After our 4th stop we headed to the supermarket to buy foods for our lunch. This is their local market where local foods can be found such as lechon manok (Roasted chicken) and lenchon baboy (Roasted Pig) and other delicacies. We bought some kilos of roasted pig and enough "puso" for us.
This is called puso(Pohsu), rice cooked in a heart shape container made of coconut leaves. Have you tried eating rice like this? hehe! Only in the Philippines, right?
Part 5 - Trip in Southern Part of Cebu!
Our third stop was the "Balay na Tisa (House of Tisa)". I' am so so so so (exaggerating mode) sorry because I dont have any idea what is tisa in english. It is called house of Tisa because it's roof is made of tisa. It was built in the year of 1859 and up to now it still standing (Creepy! There are so many ghost here! lolz).
If you go inside you can see antique furnitures that probably as old as this house. But we were not that fortunate because no one was allowed to go inside that time because the owner of the house was there. Maybe this house is only a rest house now and the owner comes here from time to time only.
Part 3 - Trip in Southern Part of Cebu!
Our 4th stop was the Church of Simala. Our teacher said this church before is just a small chapel but look at it now, it stands like a gigantic and feirce castle in the top of the mountain. I always dream to have a house like this. Soo cool, isn't it? For me, this is the first church I have ever seen that has a unique exterior design.
This is the prayer room as what our teacher said. This is just beside to the castle-like church. I like the 2 angles blowing trumphet. Yay! The color is pink. lol.
After going to the churh you can buy candles in different colors which has also different meanings. I choose the color green representing good luck in studies, money or I dont remember the meaning actually. lol.
Part 4 - Trip in Southern Part of Cebu!
Our 2nd stop was the church of Carcar or the Saint Catherine church. I love its exterior design. I just don't have any idea who's that person that statue representing. The one that's holding something (It looks like a cross to me). Is that a pope or someone?
This is what the church looks like inside. Have you notice the lady in white hair praying??? mooohh! lolz. Just kidding!
This is where you dip your hands in the water and make a sign of the cross after. Sorry. I don't know what it's called. I need help!
The place (on the top portion) where the choir will be singing during masses or any special occassions. But I doubt if it still used these days.
This is the "wooden" (?) statue of Saint Catherine. When you enter the church she will be the first statue that will greet you! lolz!
What have you notice in those angels? They seems like they're talking, right? It's quite creepy and cool at the same time!!!
Representing the rest of the gang! lolz. There's Jesus there, Mary (?) and the rest is unknown to me. I' am just wondering why some of them are bald.
This is Saint Peregrine - the cancer saint. I have no idea how did he got the label of as the cancer saint. Did he had a cancer before and healed by God or something? tell me, please.

Part 2 - Trip in Southern Part of Cebu!
As what I blogged we had a tour last May 1 and I will be sharing those places that we had been by parts. I' am not catholic but I will try to explain the pictures though as best as I could. Our first stop was the "THEOTOKOS" church in ?????. It's a church in the top of the mountain where you can see Virgin Mary facing the sea. It is so unique to me.
Here is Virgin Mary and a back of a nun praying - Wait is she a nun or an Israelite? What is "AVE " by the way?
My teacher said something about these three person praying. I think they have a part of the bible and they are some what like close to Virgin Mary.
