I started to hate celebrating my birthday when I turned 17 years old because I feared of becoming an adult. Wahahaha. I want to remain my youth like FOREVER! But I should not live with false hopes right? but still I want to be young for life. lolz. On the other hand what good about celebrating birthday is that you will receive gifts in different forms and different sizes either in cash or material things. That's why I still want to celebrate my birthday. Hahahaha. My birthday is near and I wonder what you guys will gave me. Well if you will ask me I want a Louis Vuitton Bag! hahahaha... anyway Last November I attended two birthday party. The first one was my classmates debut and the 2nd one was my lola's (grandmother) birthday.
My friend, Gwen, celebrated her 18th birthday last November and she invited me together with her other friends (my friends too!) to come to their house. It was not a big party, it's just the her family family and some friends. I always preferred to celebrate my birthday with my family only and I want it to be as simple but meaningful, happy, and most importantly memorable birthday just like in Gwen's birthday. I'm sure it was! Going there was like riding a 10 miles roller coaster ride. Hahahaha. We got lost because the taxi driver has no sense of direction AT ALL! He probably intentionally did that for us to pay him more! I'm certain that it was Gwen's lovie dovie, Clarence, fault because he did not accompany us! Just Kidding. We were 4 (me, Daryll, Rubelle, Carmela) in the taxi and none of us were familiar at the place that's why we got lost. This incident had cause me to become veeeeery hungry because we traveled like 1 1/2 hours. hahaha... Thankfully Gwen's family cook very tasty that it paid my hardship in going to their house. Hahahaha. The debutant was that cute girl wearing pink spag.Doesn't she.... [34 More Photos Inside]
Please don't laugh in the above picture because it was just stolen so don't be disturb with their faces. Look at how Hungry Carmela (at the back) was. hahaha. I hope she doesn't see this or else. Pwahahahahaha.
During the blowing of candles I was still eating together with my other classmates who was with me in the taxi so we weren't able to witness it and I'm deeply sorry for that because we were visitors and we should have at least sang the birthday song with them as a sign of respect and gratitude. I personally feel sorry for it. huhuhuhu. drama aside this was Gwen before and
during blowing of the candles. Look at how happy she was!
After that it's time to eat the cake. Grace looking at Gwen while slicing the cake. I wonder what she was thinking!
Burp! We're full already.
Angelica, me, Rubelle
Gwen with her other guests.
Me, Daryll, The birthday girl. We did not stayed there for long because it was already late and it's not safe for us to go home during late hours because there are a lot of criminals out there waiting for their pray!!!!
the second birthday I attended was the birthday of my grandmother. She is not the mother of my mother or mother of my father but she is the sister of the father of my mother so that still make sense to call her grandmother, right? We call her "Mommy". Mommy did not invite a lot of people just a few family members who's here in Cebu at the moment. So it was a mini post birthday because we celebrated it 3 days after her real birthday because it's very difficult to have it on the actual day because we have different schedules.
This was her after we had all prepared the foods. Guess how old is Mommy right now? Let's rewind back the preparation, shall we? tendededeng!!!!!
Here in the Philippines it's a tradition to have a letchon (roasted pig) in every birthday as much as possible even if you'll just serve in it kilos or a whole letchon. This was ate (ah-teh - sister/sign of respect) preparing the letchon tray because they will be going to put the letchon.
" let's place it slowly okay? 1...2...3"
"ooppsss..slowly guys!"
"hooh" Mommy removing some rope that was attached in the letchon.
I utterly do not know why a letchon should have an apple on it's mouth. Is it just for decoration or there's something deeper explanation to it, what you think?
A closer look
Kuya (Koh Yah - brother/sign of respect) was preparing this dish.
Let me show you what dishes they cooked for Mommy's birthday.
There's a shrimp.
crabs,
meat balls,
fish which was made by kuya a while ago,
fruits,
Filipino native food.
the letchon,
and Bam-I. This should always be part of a birthday menu because they say this will make your life longer,
and the yummy-super mango cake.
I supposed to take my self together with the foods but someone talked to me so I was about to say a word when I click the button. hahahaha. Look at my face!!!
My two siblings requested me to take them a picture while watching tv. This bed was not originally place there but was just moved to that area because sometimes Mommy watch television here in the first floor while laying down.
Me near the door.
After a few minutes of waiting because there were still some invited guess who did not arrive yet the moment that we have been waiting for arrived! It's...it's... EATING TIME!!!
I took 1 shot before I joined them!
Wahahahaha. Let's count the hands 1,2,3,4...4 hands at one time. The letchon was the star of that day!
I so envy this ice maker because if you will need some ice it will not be difficult for you to get one because of this. I hope someone will give me this on Christmas! hahaha
Before leaving 1 shot in the Comfort Room! hahaha
We supposed to leave already but my bro's got hooked and doesn't want to leave yet with one of his favorite anime which is also my most favorite anime - NARUTO
This is Mommy's dog. He's very healthy no? After Naruto we then said our goodbyes and greeted Mommy again Happy Birthday then gave our gift to her then we leave because it was already late!
