FYI: The title means Everyone Happy New Year!
Last January 1, 2008 we celebrated the New Year, again, with a simple dinner together with the same people we invited last Christmas. Compared to how the people here in Cebu celebrated New Year I can say that last Year's Christmas was a bit peaceful because I didn't heard firecrackers much. The New Year's celebration here in Cebu was a blast! Crown Regency which has the first edge coaster IN THE WORLD entertained the entire Cebu City with a moment of magnificent fireworks display. Click for more (Read the Rest of the Entry) to see how a New Year being celebrated by a simple family. Be sure your pc/internet connection is ready because there are 19 Photos Inside.
Let's start first with the foods we prepared for this occasion.
We had various type of viand. (chicken, pork chop, meat balls, chinese-food-something),
the famous pinoy-style spaghetti!,
shrimps or should I say lubster?,
One of my favorite - crispy pata.
different fruits (They say that a family should have atleast 21 kinds of fruits in the table on the New Year's Eve for a prosperous year to come but we can only afford these. So is that mean we will not be bless this year? I don't think so!) ,
My favorite - Roasted Chicken,
we also have 2 bottles of cheap wines. Each of them has a recent vintage that's why they're cheap (Vintage is the year a wine is made. The older the year the expensive it will be.)
enough with that here's myself before partaking.
Apparently I looked stressed and disquieted on this because I haven't slept with normal sleeping hour since the holiday season began.
Wonder to whom will I give this bone?
To....
Her ofcourse! Who would want to eat a bone without the meat except for the canine?
He was excited to have it so I give it to her right away!
A few hours of waiting then the clock turned
12:00 AM
Tandadadang!!!!
Happy New Year!!!!!!
We went outside to watched our neighborhood's firecrackers and fireworks.
then suddenly I noticed this girl standing on top of their roof! I was scared and shouted because I was the last one to noticed her then afterward they were all laughing at me including our neighbors. I got shy ofcourse! lolz.
The other side of our house. It looks like our area were the only one who didn't had firecrackers at all.
This was very close to us so I bet this was from the foreigner nearby. He's rich you know!
After few minutes, atlast they're all done. I was a bit scared for there might be an accident and all our houses will be blown away by fire! Notice how plenty of wires are there.
Before logging off I would like to thank those people who greeted me last January 1, 20099999! Thank you Grace, Angelica, Gegie, Lebanon, A fan of Sandara Park, and Ms. Dacera who ONLY greeted me through text last Christmas! I love that girl!
P.S. I just realized how great my banner is. It looks like taken in an historic place where in reality we're living in a squatter-ish area. Lolz.
