Part 1 - Dinner at (Waterfront) Port Restaurant

Last May 14 ,2008 we, the whole PERD(Personality Development - subject) class, had a dinner at Port Seafood Restaurant which is an outlet of Cebu Waterfront Hotel and Casino. Last monday was supposedly our final exams and our teacher planned to have our exam in Waterfront instead of having it in our school. lolz. Seriously, instead of taking a written exam our teacher wants us to apply what we have learned.

If you are wondering what is the connection of dinning out to our subject and why , of all places, we will apply what we have learned in a restaurant, well here is the answer: PERD or Personality Development is a subject that talks about personality of an individual and how can it be develop and one topic of it discusses about proper manners and etiquettes in a party, in having meals outside and in public places. She will grade us in according to how we eat, how we handle things in public and/or do we follow the right manners. The picture below is...

The Venue

the venue where we had our dinner. From the word "port" the interior design fits for it's name, there are colorful starfish (ofcourse it's dead) and sand around the entrance corner. They might just want their costumers to feel that they are not in the city but rather in a nerby sea. The white chairs and tables create a clean-look to the restaurant and the cloth hanging add to the summer look of the place.

The ship's head is quite unique for me. It is the first thing you will notice once you get in. The life-saving stuff used as a decoration for the walls is although expected because it is a "seafood" restaurant is still cute for me.

The Food

In the picture above you can notice that there are fresh cucumber, kangkong (in english?), pork, fried chicken, lumpia (I' am not sure) and more. I tried almost all of them. Kangkong is very common and I have tasted it for many times already so I did not even bother to get a portion of it. lolz.

Because its a "seafood restaurant" the number one in their menu is ofcourse seafoods. I took a lot of seafoods on my plate because it is very rare to see me eating seafoods like this kind. So I grab the opportunity (lolz to me. As if there is no tomorrow). hahaha.

In the above pic there are small crab, vegetable coated in egg, corn and shrimps. Oh no, I' am starving again. I either did not bother to get a corn because aside from I hate corn I have already eaten corn countless times already.

In the other table there is a roasted pig as you can see in the above picture. Blood stew (spelling?) which I' am not allowed to eat and Milk fish( I' am not quite sure how it is cooked). The one in the chafing dish is (I guess) meat balls, I hope I 'am right coz I can not read the label, it's too blur.

You could also have some plate of pasta if you want like carbonara (I only know carbonara among them and I think I misspelled it lolz.) But you can not just take and put some of it directly in your plate because it is fuc%@#$^$$ (it's not what you think, okay?) not cooked. You need to choose what kind of pasta and sauce you want and then someone will cook it for you.

I managed to go back and forth in the buffet 3 times and I must say I was so full that time and what I paid was not wasted. lolz. The first time pic is HERE (It jst small because I was a bit shy at first. Naks). The second time is HERE. and the third time - I forgot to take a picture of it. lolz
